Automatic mobile speech to blog conversion service gives millions of citizens the chance to voice their opinion at G20 summit
London, March 18th, 2009.
Speech-to-text company SpinVox, has teamed up with MoBlog and Bligoo.com to voice enable the G20Voice project in time for the G20 Summit 2009, held on April 2nd and hosted in London.
G20Voice is a project that gives anyone the chance to ask specific questions on key global issues to leaders from governments, the business world, international institutions and other influential people at important global moments and events via the blogosphere.
People will be able to post their thoughts, messages and questions on key issues such as the economic crisis, world poverty and climate change onto the G20Voice Blog simply by dialling a number and leaving a message. Messages can be left in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese for the cost of a local call.
G20 Voice is a special partnership of Oxfam Great Britain, Comic Relief, Save the Children, ONE, and Blue State Digital, where 50 specially chosen bloggers from across the globe, will attend the G20 Summit, and use these comments and insights to represent people’s real feelings about these global issues.
The aim is to ensure that the leaders
and people who have been entrusted with power remember that despite
the international economic crisis, we all need to end poverty and inequality
and ensure a safe and equitable response to tackling climate change.
